Former Nigeria captain, Sunday Oliseh is demanding that the Ghana Football Association must shoulder the blame for the Black Stars disappointing output at South Africa 2013 Cup of Africa Nations.
Wherever his source, Oliseh made an unbelievable revelation that he understood Coach Kwesi Appiah did not actually choose the 23 players who made Ghanas squad for the Cup of Africa Nations but rather the Ghanaian football controlling body.
And according to Oliseh who expressed his massive disappointment with the Black Stars overall performance during the tournament which eventually ended with 4th place as the competition came to a close last night in Johannesburg, Kwasi Nyantakyi and his lieutenants must take responsibility for Ghanas poor show.
Ghana doesnt play this kind of poor football, no way. The Ghanaians are very skillful and dominate games and they have this flair that was also missing.
Ghana always had players who you want to watch, player like Michael Essien who is one of my most favourite Ghanaian players of all time. How can you leave players like that behind when youre coming to a big tournament you want to win? Oliseh said, albeit rhetorically on Supersport on DSTV.
He continued: And for me if its true that the Ghanaian FA chose the players for the coach, then they must take the blame and not the coach because you cant choose a wife for another man. If you choose a wife for another man and there is divorce, then youd have to take responsibility for the failed marriage, he blasted.
