Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has revealed he has no regrets remaining at Olympique Marseille despite mounting interest for his services during the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old was linked with English Premier League sides Liverpool and Newcastle.
But after talks with Marseille president Vincent Labrune he opted to stay at the Stade Velodrome.
At Marseille, Ayew will get another opportunity of playing in the prestigious UEFA Champions League.
ďż˝ The transfer window is often a difficult period,ďż˝ Ayew told RMC .
ďż˝ This year, it was for me. There were a lot of contacts but I know I made ??the right choice by staying at OM.
I cannot deny that there has been contact. After I spoke with the president (Vincent Labrune) whether I should accept these offers or not.
ďż˝ It made ??me feel that I was important to the club and I still had things to do here. I never had the idea to go.ďż˝
Ayews current with the Marseille will run out in June 2014.
