Ghana and Schalke midfielder, Kevin-Prince Boateng, has congratulated the Black Stars for beating Egypt 6-1 in the first leg of their World Cup play-offs in Kumasi.
In a tweet, Boateng congratulated the Black Stars for what he described as an amazing performance.The 26-year-old also implied that he was proud of the team.
Captain Asamoah Gyan opened the scoring for Ghana in the 5th minute and Wael Gomaa�s own goal in the 22nd took Ghana 2-0 up. Mohamed Aboutrika cut the deficit in half with a 41st-minute penalty kick, but Majeed Waris� goal in the 44th restored Ghana's 2-goal lead at half-time.
Gyan got his second goal in the 53rd, Sulley Muntari converted a penalty kick in the 72nd and Christian Atsu scored the final goal in the 89th.Ghana will now travel to Cairo on November 18 for the second leg of the play-offs.
The aggregate winner after the tie will automatically qualify for Brazil 2014.
