Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien is top of newly-appointed AC Milan head coach Clarence Seedorf's January wish-list.
The 31-year-old was linked with a move to the San Siro earlier this month, but it was unclear whether the recent dismissal of manager Massimiliano Allegri would affect the transfer.
However, according to the Italian newspaper, Essien is a target for the Rossoneri's latest coach.
The Ghana international has mostly been used as a substitute by Jose Mourinho this season, and has made a total of five Premier League appearances this season.
Seedorf is keen to add some quality to the current Milan squad, with the team currently trailing in 11th place in the Serie A table.
The Italian giants currently find themselves 30 points behind league-leaders Juventus and 15 points behind fourth-placed Fiorentina.
However, Seedorf scored his first victory as Milan coach: a somewhat fortuitous 1-0 win over Hellas Verona.
