The Black Stars will maintain 80 percent of the current squad that won silver at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Ghana trainer, Avram Grant, made the disclosure when the senior national team arrived from Equatorial Guinea.
According to him, he was highly impressed with the display of the Black Stars, hence his decision to maintain most of the players.
Coach Grant said he has confidence in his team and that he would maintain most of the players and make only a few additions to strengthen the squad.
Coach Grant, former trainer of Chelsea in the English Premiership, was given the Ghana coaching job some few weeks to the 2015 AFCON.
Considering that his appointment was close to the tournament, the Israeli national said he struggled to pick his team.
He however said he was happy that the team that he selected lived up to expectation by finishing second in the tournament.
Coach Grant said it was unfortunate that the trophy eluded the Black Stars after a fine display by his boys.
He said he was highly touched by the rousing welcome Ghanaians accorded him and his team on arrival into the country.
