Pantsil who joined the South African side at the beginning of the season will now be at Pietermaritzburg for the next two seasons after penning a two-year contract extension with the �Team of choice�.
The 33-year-old helped Meritzburg finish eight at the end of the 2014/15 ABSA Premier League.
Meritzburg coach Steve Komphela has been impressed with the Ghanaian international who featured all thirty matches for the Club.
The former Fulham defender was alleged to be leaving the Club after the season with reports linking him to his former Club.
