Head Coach of Spanish side Las Palmas Quique Setien has reacted angrily to the latest injury picked up by Mubarak Wakaso while on duty with the Black Stars.
The Ghana international pulled out of the Black Stars game against Mozambique and was immediately ruled out of the second game in Maputo four days later.
This development followed initial reports from Las Palmas who cautioned the Ghana FA on the use of the midfielder, especially when he had not fully recovered from a thigh problem that had kept him out of action for two week.
“It is bad that Wakaso did not fully recover in time and was rushed into action,” Quique Setien said
“Now he is injured again and that is not good at all. The frustrating part is that he has been out for a long time.”
“In future we have to consider call ups if we deem the player are not fit or has a risk of aggravating the injury.”
