Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah is unfazed by the exemption of Black Stars players from the final three of the CAF player of the year.
Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey could not make the eleven man shortlist named by CAF having been included in a 30-man list.
The duo could not make the cut despite their consistency at Club level.
Mohamed Salah of Egypt, Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Gabon star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyung made the top three for the award.
Kwesi Appiah is not worried about the exclusion of Ghanaian players from the final three for the prestigious diadem.
“Not at all, am not worried, I always say we are still building the team, yes we have some young and good players in the team,” he said during an interview with the media.
“It is obvious the three players all deserve to be nominated.”
West Ham United attacker Andre Ayew is the last Ghanaian to have made it among the top three for the CAF player of the year.
