Accra Great Olympics has served the Ghana Football Association (GFA) with a court injunction, restraining them from commencing with the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Mr. Olloboi Commodore, General Manager of Great Olympics told the media in interview that, the GFA has been served with the court injunction on the GPL, which was set to be launched on Monday.

Mr Commodore said, the court injunction was received by Mr. Isaac Addo - General Secretary of the GFA on Monday.

He said “with the injunction letter, the proposed Congress of the GFA would also hang in the balance.

“It means the launch of the league cannot also take place, if Olympics are seen as a relegated club,” he stated.

The Premier League season was scheduled to kick start this weekend with the Congress also fixed for Thursday and Friday.
