Mr. Owoahene Acheampong, chairman of the Division One League (DOL) Board, has said lack sponsorship in this year's league has affected the management of the second tier league.
Last year GN Bank ended its three-year 2.1 million sponsorship for Ghana's second tier competition, after encountering various problems that culminates numerous misconducts across various league centers.
But the DOL Chairman in an interview with GNA Sports highlighted the effects of not having a sponsor for this year's league and stated how Ghana Football Association (GFA) have been very supportive in running the league.
''Is been difficult playing the league without a sponsor and sometimes as organizers we need to go to places and watch proceedings but because of lack of funds, we are not are able to do that. The GFA is trying but not with some challenges, so we are still looking for sponsors and I hope we would be successful in getting corporate bodies support us,” he added.
