Following the recent expose by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on the country’s football, the top flight league has not seen any action and club owners and football administrators are blaming the government for delaying the start of the league.

After the expose, the country's football has been brought to its knees with cries and pleas.

Retired footballer, and now a coach, Laryea Kingston is confident the government of Ghana will put good structures in place for club owners, footballers, stakeholders and football administrators to be happy with our football again.

“I trust the government to do a good job by putting in place good structures to develop the game especially now that various reforms are ongoing," he said.

“Government knows best for Ghana football and it will be better to exercise patience,” he added

According to the ex-footballer, Ghana’s footballing problems had always been there and leaders must not rush into playing the top flight league, but proper mechanisms must be put in place first.

“I think the problem has always been there and the football people must not rush into playing the league," he warned.

One of the immediate aftermath of the expose was the resignation of the GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi who was the GFA President since December 2005.
