Emmanuel Toku, former national U-17 star man, has been called back to the national under-20 team, the Black Satellites to replace injured striker Umar Basit, as the team prepares for the Africa Under-20 Championship in Niger.
The replacement of Basit, was due to his struggles with injury, according to information gathered by the GNA Sports.
Toku, who was missing from the final list, submitted to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the Championship in Niger, left Accra on Friday morning, to join his colleagues in Niger.
He was instrumental for the U-17 side that featured at the 2017 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) youth championship in India.
The Black Satellites take on Burkina Faso on Sunday February 3 before taking on Senegal and Mali respectively in the Group B fixtures.
