A publication in Tuesday 1st October edition of the Ghanaian Times indicated that 182,000 candidates who sat for the 2013 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) did not pass the core subjects and therefore could not be placed in any of the public Senior High Schools (SHSs).
