The Ministry of Trade & Industry says the Komenda Sugar Factory, now in a piloting and testing stage, was completed six months ahead of time. The recently inaugurated factory is planned to shut down later on in June for calibration of the machines and equipment and start full production in October/November, when its main raw material, sugar cane, is in season.
