Zoomlion Ghana Limited has responded generously towards an appeal for funds to set up a Kidney Centre at the 37 Military Hospitals in Accra.
The donation, which forms part of the company�s corporate social responsibility, is largely to demonstrate the fact that, the life of every Ghanaian needs to be saved and also to underscore the need for all Ghanaians to stay healthy.
The Gh₵ 5,000 which was part of the proceeds earned during its Annual Thanksgiving Service held in December, 2011 was donated in an appeal by the Christian Council of Ghana spearheaded by Peace FM�s Morning show programme Kokrokoo and its host, ace broadcaster Kwame Sefa Kayi.
Presenting the cheque, the Communications Manager of Zoomlion, Mrs. Isabella Gyau-Orhin, said Zoomlion is not only committed to keeping the environment clean and healthy, but also ensuring that the very citizens who live in these environments are very healthy hence the move to help set up the kidney centre.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Christian Council, Mr. Kwami Sefa Kayi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Zoomlion for the donation.
�This gesture demonstrates that, ZoomLion Ghana Limited is committed to ensuring the health of Ghanaians,� he said and urged other corporate bodies to emulate ZoomLion�s example.
