Eric Aboagye, a 38-year-old driver, has found himself in the grips of the Kasoa District Police Command for possessing quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. Kasoa District Crime Officer, ASP Moses Naa-Kolgo Agbegne, briefing Daily Guide, stated that on Thursday April 12, 2012, around 2:00 am, Aboagye was arrested based on a tip off that he dealt in narcotic drugs. He said that when Aboagye�s room was searched, a number of dried leaves suspected to be India hemp were found in a big polythene bag in his room. �Aboagye claimed ownership and stated that he was using the seed of the leaves to feed his fowls to enable them grow fat,� he stated. During our interrogations, we got to know that he was a driver of Dzifa Dzisah aka Gee, one of the suspects who robbed Samuel Amoako, an accountant of the EP Church of Ghana at his residence around Rock City in Kasoa The crime officer noted that on March 26, 2012, at about 8:45 pm, Samuel Amoako was attacked by five armed robbers at his gate after closing from work. Mr. Agbegne narrated that Dzifa Dzisah and Iddrissu Issaka were arrested and later arraigned before court, and have been remanded to assist the police in investigations. The crime officer said Aboagye had been arraigned before a Swedru Circuit Court for unlawful possession of narcotic drugs. The district crime officer is appealing to citizens in Kasoa to provide information that will lead to the arrest of all criminals who were terrorizing the area.
