Minority Leader Doubts Gov't On Ho University

The Minority Leader in Parliament has cast doubt on the quality of teaching and learning activities if indeed the University of Allied Health Sciences in Ho begins enrollment this September. Government has reiterated its commitment to commence academic work at the University in the next four months. The Minister of Education, Lee Ocran told parliament on Thursday that temporary arrangements have been made for effective academic work to begin. But minority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu in an interview XYZ News said he believes not much has been done to ensure the effective take off of serious academic work. "How many lecturers have been recruited, because if you are really serious about the intake of students you should be able tell us the number of lecturers that have committed themselves to assume responsibility. "I think it is important to do what is right, I am not too sure or convinced by what the minister told us concerning the number of students and lecturers. Lets get our bearings right and this is not to discourage government but to ensure that the best things are done for the young ones that are coming up".
