Northern Regional Minister Should Resign - Youth

The Northern Youth for Peace and Development (NYUPED) is demanding the resignation of the Northern regional minister Moses Magbengba over the Konkomba-Bimoba-conflict. The President of the group, Prince Hardi Adams has accused the minister of being biased and partisan in his dealings on the matter. In an interview with XYZ News, he said Mr. Magbengba is not doing much to resolve the many conflicts in the Northern region. Today Konkombas and Bimobas are fighting and you are the Minister and the Chairman of the security council of the Northern region what has he done Mr. Adams asked. He added that if a new person comes altogether we may say that okay this is a neutral person, excuse me to say that my brothers and sisters konkombas would not say that this man is our man. Meanwhile, the deputy Northern regional Minister Nasamu Asabigi who has been speaking to XYZ News on behalf of Moses Magbengba has rubbished allegations that his boss is being biased and partisan describing them as unfortunate. This problem that has surfaced has nothing to do with the regional Minister, it is his interventions in many areas that has helped to make our region very peaceful over the last several years. We need peace in this region and for people to begin to speak like this I think it is very unfortunate.
