Reject Arrogant Politicians - Dr. Lawrence Tetteh

A renowned evangelist and President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Lawrence Tetteh has observed that some politicians have develop the spirit of arrogance lately, calling on Ghanaians to reject them. According to him, God in His own way had appointed the one who would lead Ghanaians come 2013 and beyond so people should do away with the spirit of intolerance, personality attacks, insults, tribalism and divisive politics. Dr. Tetteh was speaking at a press briefing to start his three-day Sunyani For Christ Crusade which was held at the Sunyani Jubilee park from 23-25 May with the support of Rev. Dr. Paul Naughton of Benny Hinn Ministries-UK. He could not fathom why Ghanaians could not pause for a moment to reflect and show appreciation for the manifold blessings that the good Lord had showered on them but rather resort to unnecessary attacks. I want to state unequivocally here that leaders and their followers should know that for a blessed country like Ghana, God will never handover its leadership and governance to any group of people who do not demonstrate total submission to God, he opined. Dr. Tetteh, who encouraged the youth to be prudent, advised politicians to submit to Gods authority and confess their sins so that God would forgive them rather than concentrate on politics of deception, impunity, lies, character assassination, insults, personality cult, among others. According to him, the key to peaceful election is prayer and Ghanaians should not underestimate the ultimate power of God because the founding fathers of the nation believed in prayer. He also used the occasion to call on the leadership of the church not to use their platform as an instrument for divisive politics. We need leaders who will put the nation first in word and deed, he noted. Dr. Tetteh stated that the three-day crusade would address the moral decadence that had engulfed the society as well as attract people to God to avert hate speeches.
