CPP And PNC Merger Talk Is The Most Pathetic Ever Kwami Sefa Kayi

The host of Peace FMs morning show, Kwami Sefa Kayi, has described the merger talks between the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) and the Peoples National Convention (PNC) as the most pathetic unity talks ever. According to him, it is shocking why the two parties who claim to share in Dr Nkrumahs ideologies and principles have not been able to sort out their differences and unite since they started unity talks several years ago. The two Nkrumahist parties have for the last two decades been trying frantically to unite to gain much ground in the political landscape to help win power. However, both parties have failed at each attempt to unite. Dr. Abu Sakara who was recently elected as the flagbearer of the CPP has given indications that he is ever ready to meet the PNC flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga, for unity talks. Speaking on Ephsons File on Thursday, Sefa Kayi who was the special guest on the programme, slammed the leadership of both parties stating that both parties should have united by now to become a more formidable force. Well CPP and PNC, I hope they dont murder me, but their efforts at unity is the most pathetic I have seen in any political discourse he said. He added that I remember from 1992 when they started unity talks and more than 20 years and they are still talking unity. I dont think they are very serious about staying together because if they were serious about staying together, I dont know what financial consideration will make them stay apart.
