Four ministers are expected to appear before the House this week to answer some questions posed by a number of MPs. They are: the Minster of Youth and Sports, Mr. Clement Kofi Humado; the Minster of Health, Mr. Alban Bagbin; the Minister of Energy, Dr Joe Oteng-Adjei, and the Minister of Roads and Highways, Mr. Joe Gidisu. Mr. Humado will answer five questions, one of which would be an answer to a question posed by the NDC MP for Upper Manya, Mr. Stephen Amoanor Kwao, about the exact plans for beneficiaries of the National Youth Employment Programme. The Member of Parliament for Bosomtwi, Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, is expected to ask the Youth and Sports Minister about the details of the $19 million spent by the government and private sector contributions for Ghana�s participation in the 2010 World Cup competition held in South Africa. Mr. Humado will also answer another question on the total income received from the public, private and government sources following the death of 126 people in the Accra Sports Stadium disaster. The NDC MP for Afram Plains South, Mr. Raphael Kofi Ahaligah, who filed the question also wants to know the beneficiaries and how much each of them received. The Minister of Health who is expected to appear before the House on Wednesday, will answer a question filed by NPP MP for Offinso North, Mr. Augustine Collins Ntim, who wants to know why trainee nurses in private nursing institutions were charged GH�50.00 as practical fees at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital whereas their counterparts in public schools do not pay any such fee. Meanwhile, the Majority Leader, Mr. Cletus Avoka, has confirmed that the Minister of the Interior, Mr. William Kwasi Aboah, will brief Parliament on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 about the growing incidents of communal violence in some parts of the country. The meeting will, however, be held behind closed doors since the matter to be discussed are security issues. Mr. Avoka announced this when he presented the Business Statement of the House of this week in Parliament. The briefing is a response to the request made by NPP MP for Akropong, Mr. William Ofori Boafo, to the leadership of the house last Wednesday.
