Mosquito Is Not A Serious Student - Adams

An aide to Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings, Mr Kofi Adams, has described the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, as a student who does not study well for examinations but prefers to make excuses for his failure. Mr Adams said the NDC is headed for an electoral shock if Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketsia does not concentrate on real party work but chooses to focus on the founder of the party, ex-President Rawlings. According to him, the former president is only advocating for social justice, probity and accountability but the NDC General Secretary chooses to accuse his partys founder of brewing trouble and controversy within the party. Speaking to The Finder after a press conference at the office of the former president, Mr Kofi Adams said although Mr Asiedu Nketia may have gone through school his behaviour casts doubt as to whether school has gone through him. According to Mr Adams, the partys electoral fortunes have dwindled and would continue to do so as a result of the actions of General Mosquito. Earlier at the press conference, Mr Adams stated that if there is anyone causing harm to the party it is Mr Asiedu Nketia and not Jerry Rawlings. Instead of finding time to solve the feud between the chairman and his vice, and the womens organiser and her deputy he says he has no time. He alleged that Mr Asiedu Nketia's ineffectiveness manifested in the poor celebrations of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the party earlier in the month, which was a pale shadow of the June 4 event held in Aflao. On Mr Nketias compliant that the party was not invited to the June 4 event, Mr Adams said letters were not written to invite the party to the event since June 4 was enshrined in the partys constitution to be commemorated as a day of accountability. June 4 is part of the celebrations of NDC. If the General Secretary wants to play his role did he take time to find out what was happening since this celebration was the most publicised? he queried. Mr Adams argued that majority of the people are not happy with the current NDC administration not because of Rawlings but because the leadership have abandoned the golden values that underpinned the party. In response to a question, Mr Adam said he was still an elected executive member but had been sidelined till he was cleared or otherwise of allegations levelled against him.
