National Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, has issued a stern directive to a former National Executive Committee (NEC) member of the NDC and now Interim Chairman of the newly formed political party, National Democratic Party (NDP), Dr Nii Armah Josiah Aryeh, to be careful not to disrespect the President, His Excellency Professor J.E.A Mills. He warned Dr. Aryeh to be measured in his pronouncements when talking about President Mills or else face the wrath of people who adore the president. Dr. Josiah Aryeh, had in an interview on Okay FM�s Ade Akye Abia, corroborated Dr. Sekou Nkrumah�s assertions that President Mills is �half-fit� and must therefore resign as president for a healthy person to rule the country. The former NDC General Secretary revealed that he once led a team of six colleague lecturers from the Faculty of Law to the Castle, Osu when Professor Mills assumed office as the President to pass on good wishes to him for his success especially because he was part of the faculty some years back. According NDP Interim Chairman, twice the president acknowledged his greetings and even posed for the cameras together with him, yet failed to make him out as the former NDC NEC member who once stood in the trenches with him. �Instead of facing the issues sincerely and truthfully, they don�t. How can you keep a half-fit President? If somebody is half-fit, maybe there are jobs he could do, but certainly not to lead the nation�They should come clean on these things. We all know; every little kid in this country knows that the President is not well�Whatever the motive, I don�t know, but if he didn�t recognize me then that man cannot be well,� Dr Aryeh posited. In his estimation, there is more to it than meets the eye regarding the President�s malady, but stopped short of saying if he thought President Mills was visually impaired. �There are only two possible conclusions to draw; that either the man recognized me and decided that this guy I don�t want to have anything to do with him and he was not even civil enough to say hello�I am simply telling you what happened for you to draw your own conclusions�.I was the General Secretary. How on earth would he not recognize me, even if I was his worst enemy and I have come to his office to shake his hands twice; not in a crowd of a thousand, not in a crowd of 20, but among six people. He shook my hands twice and he didn�t recognize me within a small room, what does that tell you about that man�s health?� he quizzed. But the NDC National Organiser took exception to the veiled allegation that the president was visually impaired.
