AFAG: We'll Revisit Issues Of Corruption Under NDC

Political Pressure group, the Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), says it will soon embark on an agenda of exposing what they say is the rot in the Ghanaian economy ahead of the general elections. The group in a statement said its campaign; christened AFAG IN RETROSPECT will revisit the issues of Corruption and the Economy under the NDC government with the view of helping the electorate form an opinion. AFAG said this move is not aimed at giving the opposition the upper hand but to rather help deepen Ghanas democracy. Read AFAG's statement below. AFAG IN RETROSPECT In line with the precepts of transparent and accountable governance, The Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) will from now to the period of the general elections bring to the good people of this country, AFAG IN RETROSPECT. AFAG in its quest to deepening democracy, have been at the forefront in raising critical issues concerning the management of our country vis--vis the well being of the Ghanaian taxpayer. What AFAG sought to do by bringing to public attention these critical issues was to empower the citizens to demand of the leadership transparent and accountable governance which are key ingredients for the sustenance of any democracy. Thus, as election 2012 fast approaches, AFAG in Retrospect will revisit the issues of Corruption and the Economy under the NDC government with the view of helping the electorate form an opinion. However in the spirit of providing a level playing-field for all contending political parties, AFAG would leave the political space for the competing political parties to engage each other to help the electorates make informed decisions.
