I Am A Pastor, Not A Politician - Pastor Mensah Otabil

General overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has asserted that he is a man of God and does not belong to any political party. This he said at a press conference held on Monday to clarify the air on his alleged downplaying of Nana Akufo Addo's free SHS policy. I am a pastor. I am not a politician. I am not standing for any political office. I am not a member of any political party. However, it seems a pattern is emerging where I become a political issue during election years. Even when I am sitting my somewhere quietly, my name and voice get drafted into the political fray. In 2008, I became an issue when my name was said to be on a supposed death list. It attracted a lot of political heat. But as has been my practice, I kept silent he said. According to the astute man of God, he needed to break the silence and put an end to an act which he described as defamatory, unethical, criminal, malicious, Machiavellian and evil. Pastor Otabil reiterated that the soundbite airing on most media outlets and which is being used now by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as their campaign tunes has been totally taken out of contest.
