Less Than Half Of Babies Are Exclusively Breastfed - Report

Less than half of all babies less than six months in the country are exclusively breast fed. This falls short of the expectations of the Ghana Health Service which advocates exclusive breast feeding for the six month of every child. This revelation also falls below the targets of the WHO and UNICEF. This was contained in the fourth Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey report. Launching the report, the Acting Government Statistician, Dr. Philomena Nyarko said, the release of the report will offer timely and reliable statistical data for monitoring interventions to address socio-economic challenges facing the nation.
