Arthur Kennedy: I Never Said Nana Addo Will Lose

Dr. Arthur Kennedy, a former Flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has denied ever saying that the NPP will lose the upcoming general elections. In what seemed to be an admonishment to party members to work harder for victory on December 7, Doctor Arthur Kennedy reportedly said the NPP will lose again if party executives do the same things they did in 2008. Speaking Fante at the meeting believed to be an NPP strategy session in the Central Region, he told an assembled group of people that no incumbent party in the fourth republic has lost a re-election bid and that it would therefore be difficult for the NPP to upstage the NDC on December 7. The former Communications Director of the NPP said people should tell the flagbearer of the party the truth when they meet him so as to forestall an impending defeat. However, speaking in an interview on Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Dr. Kennedy accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of doctoring the tape to suit their own whims and caprices. Whiles admitting that he met with youth activists of the party in the Central Region, the medical doctor, however emphatically denied saying the NPP will lose this year's elections. I never said that the NPP will lose the elections. I explained to them that some of the things which led to us losing in 2008 should not be repeated...I didnt say Nana Addo will lose...I am not surprised; as for the NDC and their lies: they will go to any length to fabricate things. I said if care is not taken we will have difficulties regardless of what Nana Addo does, the one-time NPP presidential aspirant clarified.
