PHOTO: Takoradi Mad Man Declares Nana Addo Winner

The Takoradi Polytechnic (T-Poly) junction on the Takoradi-Sekondi road was the centre of attraction yesterday when thousands of residents thronged the area to catch a glimpse of an alleged mad man who was carrying a billboard of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2012 general elections. According to sources, the mad man allegedly shouted that the NPP flagbearer had been cheated in the just-ended general elections, an action which attracted a lot of curious onlookers to the area. DAILY GUIDE gathered that the unknown mad carried the billboard from somewhere at Kweikuma near Sekondi and walked to the T-Poly junction, which was about 30 minutes drive. The paper learnt that at the T-Poly junction, the mad man raised Nana Addos billboard to the skies and shouted, Nana ooo, Nana; No size, to the amazement of the onlookers. When DAILY GUIDE got to the T-Poly junction at about 12 noon, the mad man had left the place but bystanders offered varied interpretations. While some said that it was only mad persons who would allege that Nana Addo was cheated in the elections, others declared that even a mad man had realized that the NPP flagbearer had been cheated in the 2012 general elections. Some of the eyewitnesses alleged that he was chased by some residents in the area believed to be supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
