Ex-Prez Kufour Defies Call To Boycott Mahamas Swearing-In

Former President Kufour, has defied incessant calls by a group of NPP supporters who converged at his Airport West residence to prevent him from attending todays inauguration of President John Mahama. In an interview with Peace FM this morning, spokesperson for the former president Mr. Frank Agyekum, described the latest development as unfortunate and called on the supporters to exercise restraint in their actions to thwart the movement of the former head of state. On this same account, Peacefmonline.com can authoritatively confirm that despite the move by the party supporters to prevent Mr. Kufour from attending the program, the convoy of the former president is on its way to the Black Star Square to witness today's historic event. President-elect, John Mahama will be sworn in as President on Monday, January 7 after being declared the winner of the 2012 Presidential elections by the Electoral Commission. The event is said to host former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufour and other world leaders.
