Former President Kufour, has defied incessant calls by a group of NPP supporters who converged at his Airport West residence to prevent him from attending today�s inauguration of President John Mahama. In an interview with Peace FM this morning, spokesperson for the former president Mr. Frank Agyekum, described the latest development as �unfortunate� and called on the supporters to exercise restraint in their actions to thwart the movement of the former head of state. President-elect, John Mahama will be sworn in as President on Monday, January 7 after being declared the winner of the 2012 Presidential elections by the Electoral Commission. The event is said to host former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufour and other world leaders.
