Goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, Jerry Akaminko, Mubarak Wakaso, Albert Adomah and Christian Atsu all start for the Black Stars at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. The match which kicks off in a few hours time, will see Kwadwo Asamoah will continue at left-back for Ghana as Akaminko partners John Boye in central defence. The Ghanaian players are fully aware that they need victory this afternoon to give them a head start in Group B. Sundays clash will be the sixth time the two teams have met at the Nations Cup tournament, with Ghana winning four times. Even though Ghana won the last clash between the two sides during the qualifiers for the 2002 Nations Cup, the Congolese shocked the Stars 1-0 at the 1998 Nations Cup in Burkina Faso which speaks of their pedigree at such competitions. Ghanas record at the last three Nations Cup has been positive and Coach Appiah intends to ride on the crest wave of their new found confidence to get their campaign off to a good start tomorrow. Ghana line up: Fatau Dauda, John Paintsil, Kwadwo Asamoah, John Boye, Jerry Akaminko, Derek Boateng, Albert Adomah, Agyemang Badu, Asamoah Gyan, Mubarak Wakasu, Christian Atsu.
