Mr. Asare Bediako, NPP Constituency Chairman for the Asokwa constituency suspects foul play in the emergence of posters alleged to belong to Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng. Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng, a former Minister for Trade and Industry in the erstwhile Kufuor administration and a two time presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for 2008 and 2012, has been accused of being the brain behind the distribution of his 2016 campaign posters. The posters bears the images of Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng and comes with the inscription: "2016 Alan Kyeremanten, New Hope". Samples of the posters can be found in some parts of Ashanti, Volta and Eastern Region. According to him, there is no way Mr. Alan Kyeremanten will get time to organize these posters since he is currently concentrating on being nominated as the Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO). He suspects a �high power� behind the printing of the posters because according to him, they are of a very high quality. Speaking on the issue on Peace FM�s morning show �Kokrokoo� with host Tweneboa Kodua (TK) Mr. Bediako said: �We all know that he wants a position at the WTO and so how can he come out with such posters. He has nothing to do with it� �I have been a supporter of Alan Kyeremanten for a very long time and I know it is not true. Right now our concentration is on the court case. I know there are other people behind; it is just to bring separation in the party but we are focused. I will tell all our supporters not to shudder because it is not from the camp of Alan Kyeremanten�� he said. Meanwhile, Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng has issued a press statement disassociating himself from the distribution of the posters. In a statement which was signed by Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng is firmly rooted in the NPP and there is no way he will do anything to bring disunity in the party. �Mr. Alan Kyerematen hereby informs the National Leadership of the NPP, the party�s teeming members and supporters, as well as the general public that neither he nor any agent of his has authorized or initiated any campaign as the said posters purport to promote� the statement said.
