Wereko Brobbey: Even The Communist Have Moved Away From NPP's Style Of Attack

A founding member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP),Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey, has cautioned members of the party to desist from the invectives they keep heaping on him for expressing his opinion; about the way they should have handled their 2012 election defeat. An unremorseful Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey insisted on Joy FM that he believes the partys continual nonsensical posture, could undermine their electoral fortune in years to come if little is done to curb it. In a statement which was personally written and signed by the former Volta River Authority(VRA) boss, called on the current party elders to direct it energies towards winning the 2016 elections and stop what he referred to as self promotional gimmicks. After the statement was released, Dr. Wereko Brobbey received incessant bashing from NPP stalwarts on the airwaves for putting the party in a light. Whiles others claimed he wasnt even a member of the party, some said he was a paid rented agent of President Mahama working to disintegrate the NPP. But in the view of Dr. Brobbey, the flattery in the party was becoming rampant and the time had come for the courageous soul to call a spade a spade even if it would hurt for now. He however found it gruesome; the way the NPP has handled him over his call for them to withdraw their case from court and join their colleagues in parliament, to vet the presidents nominees who merit ministerial appointments. I think anybody who knows by history in the NPP, would tell you that at many material times, I have expressed this very views which have been disagreed. The most famous is an article which I wrote called Sika Y3 Mogya...it is important in democratic parties to engender and encourage vigorous discussions of the issues that affect the party,he advised. Dr. Brobbey indicted the NPP for internalizing issues and using the old ways the communists have moved from to resolve issues. "This whole notion of internalizing things (even the communist have moved away from there)...as for insults, you take them in your strides because they come and go and it is only those who dont have cogent rebuttals to what you say, who would say that, he said.
