A multi-million cedi Information Communication Technology (ICT) centre has been inaugurated at the High Brains Senior High School at Brofoyedur in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District of the Central Region. The centre, which has been furnished with modern computers with accessories to enhance teaching and learning, was handed over to the school after Madam Patricia Klutse of the District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) at Ajumako had cut the tape to declare it opened. Madam Klutse, who stood in for the District Director of Education, Mr John Harma, advised parents to monitor their wards, especially during holidays, pay regular visits to the schools and team-up with teachers to help mould the character of the students for a better, fruitful and successful career. The ceremony, which coincided with the maiden meeting of the Parent Teacher Association of the school, elected a seven-man executive committee to man the school for a three-year term. A 43-year-old mechanic, Mr Samuel Aidoo was elected Chairman with Madam Margaret Kisseh as the Vice, whiles Mr Nicholas Frando, a staff, was elected as the Secretary. The rest were Madam Janet Essel, treasurer, Mr Maxwell Afenyi, financial Secretary, while Mr Joseph Okanta and Madam Agartha Banso were elected as organisers. Mr James Kofi Aggrey, Training Officer of the Ajumako GES, who sworn the members into office, advised them to hold their hands in unity and plan development projects that would uplift the image of the school to a greater height. Earlier, the proprietor of the school, Mr Edward G. Wilson expressed gratitude to the parents for their massive turn out couple with their punctuality to the meeting and assured them that their efforts, money and time being spent on their wards would yield fruitful results. Mr Wilson said the school, which was started with three students, now has a population of 90 and that the first batch � pioneers numbering 28 had been registered with the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to take their final examination this year. The proprietor advised parents to pay their wards' fees promptly to enable the school live up to its obligations. Mr Ebenezer Ebo Quansah, Headmaster of the School, said his students excelled in sports and other academic works like quiz competition and placed second position out of 10 Senior High Schools in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District.
