A 14-member delegation of Accra Academy Senior High School Old Students Association has paid a courtesy call on Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho to commend him for assuming the third highest office of the land. They expressed joy over the new position of Rt Hon. Adjaho, having emerged from their alma mater, Accra Academy. Samuel Ofori Adjei, the headmaster of the school, who led the delegation of the old students, presented a plague to honour Adjaho for making the school proud. Presenting the plague, Mr. Adjei said the feat by the old student was great joy to the BLEOO family as they affectionately call themselves, and would encourage students in the school to take their studies seriously so as to attain such positions in future. We believe his good deeds is what has uplifted him to this high level and it is our duty to pay him a courtesy call for assuming the third highest office in this land, and we hope to see greater things in Ghana under his position as a Speaker, the headmaster said. He further commended Speaker Adjaho for his contribution to the development of the school, especially during their anniversary celebration last year. According to him, the event constitutes one of the memorable landmarks in the history of the school. Speaker Adjaho thanked the old students and promised to contribute to the growth of the school. He also pledged not to do anything that would tarnish the good image of Accra Academy. I feel honoured because Accra Academy is a school that has achieved in all areas; politics, medicine, public servant and engineering, I appreciate every single support you have given to me. I need your support and prayers, Adjaho pleaded. Adjaho is the third Speaker of Parliament from Accra Academy under the fourth Republic, following two former speakers, Justice D.F. Annan and Peter Ala Adjetey, who have both passed on.
