My Condolence To Mother Ghana; Mahama Has Killed The Economy

A communications team member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Asante Yeboah has expressed sympathy for Ghana over what he says is the dissipation of the countrys resources by government under the guise of a Better Ghana Agenda. He stated that mismanagement of public funds, inflated cost of contracts by government apparatchiks and dubious contracts are to blame for Ghanas crippled economy. Richard Asante Yeboah comment was reacting to claims that the presidency spent in excess of GH600 million above its budget without the approval of Parliament. But Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga has vehemently denied the allegations explaining that over sixty organizations operate under the Government Machinery and the presidency is one of them. He has promised that details of the disbursement of the funds will be published by the Ministry of Finance and Economic planning, soon. But Asante Yeboah livid with the situation said the current state of the economy is due to the reckless spending by the president. "The celebrity lifestyle of President Mahama and the showmanship has killed our economy. Ghanas economy is now like a human being with an advance form of HIV- Aids" he said on Asempa FM's Ekosii sen programme. The NPP youth activist feared that if the current state of 'hopelessness' in the country persist, there would be nothing left for the future generation. He was also skeptical about President Mahamas ability to end the water and power crisis since "all the money needed has been used for ede bee keke campaign". Asante Yeboah said the hardship the NDC has plunged Ghanaians into has reached a crescendo without any help in sight.
