The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region has taken another swipe at the John Mahama administration, describing the President�s recent appointments as a �joke.� Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has taken particular issue with the recent appointments of Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Casiel Ato Forson and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to Deputy ministerial positions. The Presidency, in a Friday March 15, 2013 release signed by Dr Raymond Atuguba, Executive Secretary to the President, announced the nomination of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as deputy Minister of Education and Felix Kwakye Ofosu as deputy Minister of Information. The president in a further release on Monday March 18, 2013 announced the nomination of Cassiel Ato Forson, MP for Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam as Deputy Minister for Finance. But speaking on Adom FM�s Dwaso Nsem morning show on Tuesday March 19, 2013, the Assin Central MP said President John Mahama�s recent appointments, especially of the three men to such sensitive positions showed the President was �not serious�, and it was further proof that the NDC lacked the men to run the affairs of the country. In his opinion, �My friend Okudzeto Ablakwa may be qualified for a ministerial position, but not such an important place like Education. He should have been given deputy Sports Minister or something.� In the case of Cassiel Ato Forson, apart from scoffing at his nomination, Mr. Agyapong opined that President Mahama �wants to bully Terkper and Ato Forson that�s why he is combining them.� But the one who attracted the most ire was Felix Kwakye Ofosu, an outspoken member of the NDC communications team, who is to assist Mahama Ayariga at the outfit charged with disseminating government information. According to Mr. Agyapong, who is also the ranking member on Parliament�s Information Committee, Mr Kwakye Ofosu is �lucky� members of the minority NPP are not part of the vetting Committee, else he would have been asked to answer for �all the things he has been saying with impunity.� But all-in-all, President Mahama, whom he described as confused, was not up to the task of running Ghana, Kennedy Agyapong said.
