Fire has gutted the Ceremics Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi.
It mainly affected the offices and studios of the University�s ceramics Department.
The Deputy Registrar of University Relations Mr G A Ankamah Lomotey who confirmed the fire outbreak to XYZ News said some equipment in the offices and studio of the Department were destroyed by the fire.
The fire broke out on Friday April 19, 2013 in the morning.
The cause is yet to be confirmed after investigations.
Fire Service officials rushed to the scene to put out the fire.
