The First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama, arrived in Wa on Wednesday for a two-day official visit to the Upper West Region. The First Lady who was accompanied by the Health Minister, Ms Sherry Ayittey and other government officials is expected to launch the International Midwives Day in Wa on Thursday. Mrs Mahama was met at the airstrip by the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Ephraim Avea Nsoh, and Deputy Regional Minister, Mr Abu Kabiebata Kansangbata, Member of Council of State, Naa Seidu Braimah and district chief executives as well as some regional party executives and supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress . The First Lady is expected to return to Accra by Thursday Evening.
