Ablekuma South Gets Cholera Scare

Residents of Ablekuma South in the Greater Accra Region are in fear of an outbreak of cholera. According to reports 230 workers of Zoom lion have embarked on strike after complaints of unpaid six months salaries. Speaking to Citi News, the Community Development Officer at the Ablekuma South Sub Metro, Joshua Sika Nartey, said heaps of garbage at the Tuesday market have been left unattended to. �There is a strike in our sub metro and we thought it was a joke but we went to the site and saw that they are actually not working and the waste at the Tuesday market is alarming and an eyesore,� he stated. Mr. Nartey further mentioned, �The workers are complaining that they have not been paid for the past six months and what the community development office is actually begging them because there is a cholera outbreak in Accra and if this continues for two days, it is going to be an eyesore in Ablekuma South sub metro.�
