A JAMASI BASED teacher standing trial at a court in Ejura in the Ashanti Region for fraud has escaped with handcuffs. The accused, Mohammed Larry, reportedly feigned that he wanted to attend to the call of nature in a nearby bush after leaving a court room on Tuesday afternoon. The policeman, who was policing the suspect, opened one of the cuffs on the hand of Mohammed so he could conveniently do his own thing in the bush. The policeman stood aside waiting for the teacher to finish, but after several minutes, Mohammed was not showing up. Sensing danger, the policeman entered the bush to pick the suspect back to the police station only to realise that Mohammed had vanished. Nana Brempong, who broke the story on Kessben FM on Tuesday evening, said a search quickly ensued to apprehend the suspect but to no avail. According to him, Mohammed and one other person at Jamasi were brought to the court at Ejura on Tuesday for fraud. Explaining further, he noted that the two suspects, allegedly had been faking �ghost� names to collect monthly salary from government. The suspects� illegal activities were uncovered so they were picked up by the police, who sent them to court at Ejura for the law to deal with them. But Mohammewd, who perhaps could not withstand the pain of being confined in cells, decided to vanish.
