PLB Boss Advises League Clubs: Take Pre-Season Training Serious If You Want To Win A League Tittle

Chairman of the Premier League Board, Welbeck Yaw Abra-Appiah has advised various premier league clubs to emulate current champions of the just ended Glo Premier League, Kumasi Asante Kotokos aggressiveness when it comes to pre-season trainings. According to him, training sections does not end for players after major league tournaments but instead it continues so as the players will keep fit for their profession. In an interview with Peace FMs PEACE POWER SPORTS, the premier league boss said that what makes the European league more attractive is how the clubs show much seriousness in pre-season matches to keep their teams in shape. Our clubs here should not joke with pre-season training. In Europe, football clubs dont joke with their pre-season matches. They even travel afar to play matches. We should also emulate such here. Ghanaian football clubs should try hard to follow such steps. They (Local clubs) should also train very well. Kotoko did not become the league champions on a silver platter. Kotoko never joked with their pre-season matches and that really helped them a lot to win this league, he said. Mr. Abra-Appiah however counseled clubs managers on players recruitment saying they should recruit good players, not just any player. Let your technical men recruit the players, allow them to work.
