Kuranchie Tells AMA Boss: Get Out And Maintain The Modicum Of Respect You've"

The Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight Newspaper, Keneth Agyei Kuranchie has called on the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) boss to resign honourably in order to save him from further embarrassment. In the view of the newspaper Editor, Alfred Oko Vaderpuije has brought disgrace upon himself, the institution he represents and the President by the unilateral declaration of renaming the National Hockey Stadium after the late President Mills. Mr. Kuranchie further called on the AMA boss to to have the self-respect of maintaining the little respect you have left by getting out of office because he embarrassed the man who is dead, he has embarrassed himself, he has embarrassed the President who is his boss and he has embarrassed the Assembly. Ken Kuarnchies call comes on the back of public outrage over the changing of name of the National Hockey Pitch from Theodosia Okoh National Hockey Pitch to John Evans Atta Mills National Hockey Stadium. According to the AMA Boss, the assembly decided to change the name to honour the memory of the late Professor and to show appreciation for his contribution towards the sport in the country. Subsequently, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije was summoned to the Flagstaff House on the issue, which has led to the reversal of the decision. But Ken Kuranchie, speaking of Citi FMs Big Issues on Saturday, believes that the AMA boss should resign because of the shame he has brought to the name of the former President.
