Spiritualists To Free Ghana Institute of Languages From Ghosts (Video)

In a desperate attempt to ward off ghosts who haunt security guards and other workers in the night, the Director of the Ghana Institute of Languages, Dr. John Rex Gadzekpo on Saturday engaged the services of spiritualists to perform rituals at the premises of the institution. According to Dr. Gadzekpo, he decided to seek spiritual intervention following mysterious happenings. We have been having very serious nocturnal strange happenings at the Institute of late. Its becoming very alarming, threatening the life of security guards. I am talking about ghosts and evil spirits who have been coming, banging doors and struggling over doors with the security guards and at times strangling them.. he told Citi News. Some lecturers who work overnight, according to Dr. Gadzekpo have also encountered strange happenings. The situation has created fear among the workers, some of whom are skeptical about working in the night. Mr. Gadzekpo revealed one security guard had developed serious problems with his ear after struggling with the ghosts. He told Citi News Daryl Kwawu, the situation had become unbearable and upon advice decided to consult spiritualists to dispel the spirits. We do not know what is happening. It is exoteric and cannot be handled normally Dr. Gadzekpo said. While the Spiritualists are yet to give any explanation for the occurrences, one of the security guards said the ghosts demanded that they sacrifice a fowl. When Citi News visited the GIL campus, the Spiritualists were in the process of preparing concoctions. A goat and some fowls had been sacrificed. The blood of the animals, together with their intestines sprinkled on the floor and the feathers of the fowls spread on the ground. And rituals to exorcise the spirits began. Citi News was not allowed to view the rituals. Some students of the Accra City Campus which shares a building with the GIL, expressed reservations when about the rituals being performed as the thronged campus for Saturday morning lectures. They told Citi News it was an academic environment and such practices, should not be allowed. But Dr. Gadzekpo insisted he owed nobody an explanation and he was acting in the interest of his institution. Asked why he resorted to Spiritualists, Dr. Gadzekpo said arrangements were being made for other religions to say prayers later. He could not say when.
