The two Kaneshie overhead foot-bridges have over the years have been the center of attraction in the media due to their bad state and nothing seems to be done about them to avoid any eventuality. The appalling nature of the footbridge have resulted in raising eye brows and appealing to the President to as a matter of urgency personally intervene in ensuring the renovation of the two overhead foot-bridges before they cave in. According to the pedestrians the current state of the bridges are a death trap for those who make use of them as well as the vehicles and the traders who sell their wares. �It�s not encouraging and we are appealing to the President to take some few minutes to ascertain the nature of the foot-bridges since we have made several complaints to the authorities and nothing have been done about it� one trader said. The pedestrians revealed that one of the said bridges has been in a bad state for about a number of months now and no attempt have been made by the authorities including the Assemblyman of the area as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) to attend to the situation. According to the traders the MP promised to renovate the bridge but nothing as at now has been done about it. On the other hand, Mr. William Mensah a pedestrian also lamented over the issue reiterating the need to take immediate and pragmatic measures to curb in as much as the lives of the people are concerned.
