I Framed Rachel, Vickys Driver Confesses; Says His Life Is In Danger

Lawrence Quayeson, driver of dismissed former deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah says his life is in danger. Lawrence, who is a cousin to the dismissed deputy minister claims he had to run away to a hideout Sunday morning to escape house arrest by family members. Lawrence Quayeson was arrested by the police Thursday evening following an official complaint lodged by Ms. Hammah accusing him of secretly recording her private conversation. He was however bailed by the father on Friday evening without any charge. The former deputy minister is heard on the tape denigrating her colleague Deputy Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Rachel Appoh describing her as ugly and unintelligent. But barely 24 hours after denying leaking the secret tape to the public in an interview with Joy News, Lawrence Quayeson was quoted by an Accra-based radio station, Radio XYZ that he was contracted by Rachel Appoh, to secretly record Victoria Hammahs conversations. However, immediately after that interview with Radio XYZ, Lawrence Quayeson made a detour and told Joy News he was put under duress to frame up Rachel Appoh. He accused the family members of forcing him to lie in that interview. The runaway driver told Joy News Kwakye Afreh Nuamah that his safety is at risk.
