Dep. Minister Rachel Appoh�s Bodyguard Sentenced To Twenty (20) Years Imprisonment

The bodyguard of Deputy Minister of Gender, Women and Social Protection, Ms Rachel Apoh, who was arrested for stealing money from his boss� bank account, has been sentenced to twenty (20) years imprisonment. Confirming the news to NEAT FM, ASP Benefo Dankwa, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) told Adakabre Frimpong Manso that Constable Nicholas Owusu Asante was handed the sentence 20 year prison term on Thursday 21st November, 2013. Constable Asante who was assigned to Hon. Appoh was arrested at the Adabrka branch of the Agriculture Development Bank for stealing the cheque leaflets and managing to withdraw cash up to the tune of GHc6,500. He was arrested on the 19th of November, 2013 after he attempted to cash GH100 with one of the stolen cheques, belonging to Ms Appoh. More soon��
