Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams wonders why the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) allowed Nana Akomea to resign as the Communications Director of the party. The former NPP MP for Okaikoi South Nana Akomea resigned from his position a couple of months ago as the Communications Director for the NPP 2012 Campaign. �When it comes to communication, give it up to him (Nana Akomea). I don�t know why the NPP is not utilizing his knowledge and allowed to step down from his position. Communication is Nana Akomea�s skill. If he is discussing issues on radio, he will make you appear stupid without saying so directly...He knows how to go about issues for his opponent to look bad. There is nobody that can rival him (Nana Akomea) in the NPP or even in our (NDC)...He is an asset for the NPP when it comes to communication� Kofi Adams cheekily described Nana Akomea as a communication expert on Asempa FM. Kofi Adams was speaking on the Kokomlemle-based radio station moments after Nana Akomea described President John Dramani Mahama as being �intolerant�. Earlier on the show, the former NPP Communications Director had opined that the President�s call on his critics to stop �ranting radio and join hands fix Ghana� was ill-fated since he (Mahama) used the same medium to �attack�� the then Kufour administration. �President Mahama over the years has been a radio and television person�When he was an MP and a minister, I (Nana Akomea) personally have been on several media platforms with him (President Mahama) to discuss issues concerning governance. For 10 years, radio and television has been part and parcel of John Mahama�s career�. So why is he complaining now?� he said. Describing President Mahama�s comments as �unfortunate�, he added that he (Mahama) was becoming intolerant of Ghanaians judging by his call. Surprised by Nana Akomea�s remarks, the NDC Deputy General Secretary felt his colleague on the other side of the political divide was being disingenuous. ��Nana Akomea can turn black to white. He can turn and look for appropriate terms to suit his thinking to sway people�s mind to a particular direction�.The President is complaining because of people like Nana Akomea. The president is not and will never be intolerant to the extent of stopping anybody wishing to express his or her opinion.�
