We Need Responsible Opposition, Not A Raving & Ranting One

A member of the ruling Governments Communication Team, Bernard Anim Piesie, in an endorsement of President John Dramani Mahamas decry of the proclivity to go ranting on radio by some Ghanaians, has accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of shirking their responsibilities by not providing alternative solutions to fix the economy. President Mahama, on Sunday, expressed worry at the raving and ranting on radio by his critics at the Catholic 120th Anniversary celebrations, saying it doesnt pay to vent our frustration on radio talk show programs, and if we must to build a better and prosperous nation, all of us need to come together and act in concert; the quest to build a desirous, prosperous and better Ghana is the responsibility of all of us. Sanctioning the President Mahamas remarks on Okay Fm, the NDC communicator stressed that the opposition NPP should cease with their election campaigning tactics after a party has been elected into power and allow the winner of the polls to govern without any form of ruckus. He asserted that Ghanaians should assess the stewardship of the ruling NDC at the end of the four years mandate to ascertain the speed of development before looking for alternative opposition party with resounding solution to handle the problems of the country. ..when you listen to criticisms from the NPP, it is as if they are back to their campaigning mood after losing the 2012 election. NPP started talking about 2016 election immediately President Mahama was sworn into office as if that is the only thing expected of them as an opposition party, he posited. Explaining the intention of President Mahama in his address, Mr. Anim Piesie stated that the President was calling on Ghanaians to positive-minded and collectively champion the goals of the country without imposing his (Mahamas) will on the country as it used to be the routine in the autocratic dispensation. He described as irresponsible, the NPPs constant negative criticisms of the current administration for political expediencys sake. in this 21st Century, where every opposition party is adding their quota to the development of their country, we have the NPP which spends more time talking than being responsible with providing alternative solutions to the development of the country. .the aim and dream of NPP is to see that Nana Akufo Addo becomes the next President of Ghana and nothing else.but the success of the next government after President Mahama begins with the measures we put in place today, he stressed.
