John Alex Ackon, the Deputy Minister of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs has expressed surprise at the incessant call on the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to drag TOBINCO Pharmaceuticals Limited to court if indeed the company imported fake drugs into the computer. According to him, TOBINCO Pharmaceuticals also has opportunity of seeking redress in court if it believes its rights have been trampled upon, as claimed by some. ��I think Amo Tobin has not helped himself because if you think what you did was right but the FDA has infringed on your rights, why would you not go to court?...reverse of that, converse of the same position if TOBINCO feels he is being harassed even though he is doing a legitimate business, then, why are they still there? How is praying not in the court?� he quizzed. Speaking on the arrest and subsequent release of Samuel Amo Tobin, the Chief Executive Officer of TOBINCO Pharmaceuticals, on NEAT FM, Hon. Ackon was of the opinion that TOBINCO erred by waging a media war, instead of addressing its grievances with the FDA. His comments come after Mr. Amo Tobin was released on a GHC 1 million bail on Monday for obstructing justice.
