First Lady Presents Food Supplements To HIV Patients

First Lady Mrs. Lordina Mahama who is also the First Vice President of the Organization of African First Ladies Against HIV & AIDS (OAFLA) for West Africa has presented food supplements to the National Association of People Living with AIDS (NAP+). The forty (40) boxes of food supplements were received on behalf of the association by the President of NAP+, Kofi Amofa and the Acting Director of Technical Services at the Ghana AIDS Commission. Making the presentation, Lordina Mahama, reaffirmed her commitment towards the welfare of HIV/AIDS patients in the country. Lordina said, as the Premier UN AIDS Ambassador, she would continue to champion the course of AIDS patients through campaigns to create awareness of the disease and to mobilize resources to support people living with the disease, particularly children who are abandoned by their families because they were born with HIV. Receiving the items, the President of NAP+, Mr Kofi Amofa, expressed his deep appreciation for the continuous support from the First Lady. Mr Afoma thanked her for the leading role she is currently playing for HIV/AIDS patients across the country.
